Jade Kawamoto is a professional pickleball player competing on the PPA Tour in women’s singles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. She has established herself as a notable competitor in the rapidly growing sport of professional pickleball.
Background & Career
Jade Kawamoto grew up in Maui, Hawaii, and began playing pickleball in 2019 when her dad introduced her to it after a successful D-1 tennis career at the University of Dayton, where she played with her twin sister Jackie Kawamoto. Jade graduated with an Environmental Biology degree and now works full-time for the NCAA as an eligibility coordinator.
Jade and Jackie frequently play doubles together, but prefer to play against each other to “figure out who the parents are rooting for.”
As Jade and Jackie have made a name for themselves, they help host tournaments to raise money for Alzheimer’s research in their current hometown of Indianapolis, IN.
